Are your local citations in order? Do you know what they are? Do you know how to fix them? This week, we’re going to talk about what your local citations are, why they’re important, and the one tool that will make managing them easy.
What are local citations?
A local citation is any mention of contact information of a local business anywhere online.
These can happen anywhere. On social networks, business directories, on apps, other websites, and so on. Anywhere a business could be mentioned by name, address, phone number, is a potential place for a local citation.
Why are they important?
If you answered SEO, congratulations. You’ve been paying attention. Local citations are a great help with link-building, which can help your SEO. They’re also a chance for incorrect information to get out there, which can hurt SEO.
But there’s more. Correct local citations help you rank accurately in Google Maps specifically. This is arguably the most important place to rank in local searches.
How can you keep all of those local citations accurate and consistent?
Listings Manager from DealerOn connects your website directly to your Google Business Profile, ensuring that all of your local info from phone numbers, to hours, and departments are up to date without having to worry about updating in multiple places. Even better, it lets you push your specials directly to your Google Business Profile page, making them visible when your customers are searching for your dealership in Google.
That’s all the time we have this week. If you want to find out all the things Listing Manager can do for you, head over to DealerOn.com for a free demo.
