We had a great chat with one of the leaders of our amazingly talented Design Team, Carolina Cacioli! We discuss what makes DealerOn’s website design so effective and much more in this week’s Who We Are.
What team are you on and what is your role/job title?
I am on the Design Team, where I’m a Web Designer Project Lead and a member of the Design Leadership Team.
How does your team/role contribute to the success of DealerOn?
I am the Lead designer of the solutions team on custom on the Design Department. We handle most of the OEM pages, custom pages, custom pages edits and Accessibility (ADA) projects. If a dealer has an advanced design request, we handle that too.

What do you think makes DealerOn different?
DealerOn don’t just provide beautiful websites; we’re also focused on performance and innovation.
What do you like most about working at DealerOn?
The people. We work in close-knit teams toward common goals, and we’re all supportive of one another. DealerOn allows flexibility for family time, especially during the pandemic. DealerOn cares about their employees and it shows.
“The message of loving yourself no matter what the rest of the world may think is the type of value I’d like to pass down to my daughter.”
What is a fun fact about you that people don’t know?
I was a cashier manager at a grocery store in Brazil. To get around the store, we all cashier managers wore roller-skates. It was exhausting helping customers in skates, but it kept me in shape! As a kid, I competed in gymnastics championships in Sāo Paulo until I was 15, I really wanted to compete on the Olympic Games but had to give up when my gymnastic teacher told me that I need to cut chocolate, soda and carbs.
Who/What motivates you?
Family, especially my daughter Cici. I want to be a strong role model for her and help her to grow to be a well-rounded person that’s not afraid to follow her dreams, whatever they may be.
What are you passionate about?
I love tattoos. They’re a wonderful way to express yourself. I wanted to be a tattoo artist for a long time and even learned how to build a tattoo machine… but I chickened out and couldn’t tattoo other people. That’s why I decided to stick to Graphic Design. I love the undo button.
Who inspires you?
RuPaul has been through so many struggles and hardships and continues to make beautiful artwork. That’s very inspiring to me. The message of loving yourself no matter what the rest of the world may think is the type of value I’d like to pass down to my daughter.
If you could meet anyone from history who would it be?
Abraham Lincoln. When I first moved to Washington D.C. I lived near the Lincoln Memorial and used to walk down to it with my friend all the time. We always loved the view. It made me feel blessed to be able to live in a place where I could experience something like that, so I’ve always had an affinity and admiration for Lincoln. One time I was so tired from the long walk that I even fell asleep on the steps!
Do you have any serious hobbies or interests outside of work? What do you like to do in your free time?
I enjoy drawing and coloring in my spare time. Anything art related, really. I’m constantly doodling and drawing things. It’s how I’ve been since I was a kid, when I used to draw Mortal Kombat characters. My interest grew from there and now I like to draw and color much prettier things.
Do you have any unusual phobias?
Haha no, I feel like I have standard phobias. Cockroaches give me nightmares. The cockroaches in Brazil can fly and they used to scare me when I was a kid.
If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
If Superman can have more than one superpower, then so can I. I’d need flying so that I could go down to Brazil to see my family. And laser eyes for killing cockroaches. And time travel to hang out with Lincoln.
Awesome! Proud of your evolution, Carol!!! Muito foda mesmo!!! 😀
